He has also been providing instructions and training to fishermen for over 20 years and is currently the host of Wright County Outdoors on KRWC AM1360.

Gary is sponsored by Ranger boats, Yamaha motors, MinnKota trolling motors, and Humminbird electronics.

As a former owner of a tackle manufacturing company he has designed and built numerous lures and continues to develop new lures and techniques. Along with his knowledge of fishing Gary has a working knowledge of engineering and manufacturing practices and processes. He has spent twenty years working as a Tool & Die Maker and as a Sales Engineer for companies in the manufacturing industry.

One of his favorite things to do when not fishing is to hunt waterfowl and upland birds with his wife Penny and their three big dogs Sam, Drake, and Belle.
